We have lined up some exceptional opportunities for them to hone their Drama skills, gain exposure and perform at the upcoming Singapore Arts Festival Kids Arts Village* on 25 May as well as Asian Festival of Children's Content on 29 May. Our students will be using an art form called Reader's Theatre to present short humorous drama pieces based on local literature and they will show you how creative they can be with the texts and their voices. We welcome parents, families and friends to be our audience at the Kids Arts Village! Artists from Argentina, Canada and Singapore will not only perform but also conduct workshops to share their art form and skills. Bukit Panjang Plaza, May 29 - June 3 Sembawang Shopping Centre, June 5 -10 Lot One Shoppers Mall, June 12 - 17 Daily performances and workshops (no Mondays): 1pm to 2pm & 7pm to 8pm The children who spent SUNDAYS WITH US in April made leaps and bounds in their language and listening skills during their first encounter with Drama. They enacted scenes from The Frog Prince, learned how express themselves through movement, sound and emotion. Our MUSIC EVOLVED concert by string quartet CLASSYCOOL marked an important milestone is any child's development - their very first classical concert. It was music to their ears as the audience travelled back in time with the musicians to the Classical, Romantic and Baroque era. Thoroughly tickled and fascinated when the musicians walked up the aisles and between rows playing on their viola, violin and cello, the children couldn't help clapping hands and tapping their feet to Johann Strauss' Radetzky March, and singing and dancing along to some of the faster pieces. It was an extraordinary way to get our young enjoying classical music. ACT 3 International continues with this classy act for children as the musicians go to Vietnam and Malaysia to perform there in May.
