Come build a love for Drama as you join us at our year-end holiday workshops – a Christmas-themed learning adventure of wander and wonder!

With a collection of different and exciting classical stories written by acclaimed children’s authors, we have created a variety of age appropriate opportunities for your children.  Have them discover themselves through Drama as they learn how to perform on stage, interact with others new to them, and work at gaining overall self-confidence.

From the creative inspirations of Puss In Boots, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Mother Goose, Dream Snow and Little Cloud, this year-end series of workshops will be filled with imagination, fun and laughter with the children at the core of the learning adventure.

Look Up!
Look Up to the Sky!

Based on Little Cloud by Eric Carle

Look up to the sky and join a little cloud who simply just does not know what to do other than trail behind bigger clouds. Bored with mundanity, he decides to play a game of transformation – changing into a shark, a fluffy sheep, Santa Claus and even a giant Christmas tree.

In this one-of-a-kind parent and child Drama Workshop, it’s all about building imagination through experiential and tactile learning. Together with our storyteller cum Drama Teacher, you and your little one will go on a ‘transformational’ adventure with the little cloud as you sing, move and dramatise with simple props.

Parent and Child Workshop

Snowy Dreams

Based on Dream Snow by Eric Carle

Christmas is just around the corner and not a drop of snow is in sight. Disappointed, an old farmer decides to take a nap and begins to dream about, you guessed it, snow! Do dreams really do come true?

In our parent-child Drama Workshop, you and your 2 year-old will have a splendid time dreaming and exploring together with the farmer and his five animals. Take delight in preparing for a white Christmas as your child learns new vocabulary, sings along to a famous Christmas number and has fun discovering dream snow through imagination and play.

A Rhyming Christmas Mystery

Add a sprinkle of Christmas to the famous characters from Mother Goose’s classic nursery rhymes and what do you get? A Rhyming Christmas Mystery! Come and uncover the secrets behind Humpty Dumpty, Jack and Jill, Old Mother Hubbard, Georgy Peorgy and Little Miss Muffet.

With our Drama Teacher (aka Mother Goose) in the driver’s seat, your children will learn to use their power of imagination to build creativity and confidence as they work together and develop their speech and rhyming skills. At the end of our week-long Drama Workshop, be treated to a celebratory Yuletide performance starring none other than your children!

Puss-in-Boots

Based on Puss In Boots

Give a pair of boots to a cat and he will make you a fortune? Find that hard to believe? Well, join him on his cunning Christmas adventure as he tricks an ogre into giving up his castle, charms the socks off a king and even creates a whole new identity for his master complete with fine clothes and all its grandeur!

Using drama tools such as characterisation and improvisation, your children will learn to physicalise their actions as they embody each character to tell the story. Ultimately, to build up confidence and to showcase their hard work, our 5-day Drama Workshop will end with a festive showcase for parents.

Don’t Steal Christmas, please!

Based on How the Grinch Stole Christmas
by Dr Seuss

A classic tale in its own right, come meet the scowling and grumpy Grinch who absolutely despises the Yuletide season with all its cheerful revelries. After much pondering, he comes up with a terrible plan to remove the spirit of Christmas once and for all. Will the crabby one succeed?

In our 5-day Drama Workshop, your children will be provided with many opportunities to acquire skills in character work, spatial awareness, concentration, as well as projecting their voices as they work cooperatively together. Finally, when the week ends, witness their collaboration in an intimate setting amongst family and friends.
