In this active and engaging Parent and Child workshop, you and your little one will learn to use Drama to get your creative juices flowing and push your boundaries to see how far your imagination can take you. Using the time-honoured art of pretend play, the both of you will have enormous fun transforming a very tactile cardboard box into your very own wild inventions.

Get lost in a magical toy museum where the toys come to life every night. Join an old toy cat on an adventure of ‘hide and seek’ as he follows the trail of clues to find his friends.

In this Drama Workshop for parent and child, ignite your inner creativity and imagination as together, you and your child play hide and seek and have fun at the same time. With the help of our Drama teacher, the both of you will reenact the story through body and voice as you search for simple descriptive clues to find your friends.

Toys Alive

Based on The Night the Toys Came to Life by
Enid Blyton

On Christmas Eve, a brother and sister accidentally leave their teddy bear lying outside. Later that night when everyone is asleep, teddy opens the toy cupboard and lets everyone out for some jolly good fun!

In this Drama Workshop, your child will be transported to a world of toys who come alive. Together with music and movement, our Drama Teacher will guide your child to expand his imagination and creativity, and explore the many ways to become the different toys. At the end, the children will confidently dramatise their story in front of a live audience of family and friends.

For ages 5 to 7

The Steadfast Tin Soldier

In this true classic, a one-legged toy soldier meets a paper ballerina in a pirouette and falls in love with her. Soon after, a jealous jack-in-the-box pushes the soldier out of the window which then brings him on a journey right back to the girl of his dreams and ultimately, to his final destiny.

Through self-discovery and exploratory work in our Drama Workshop, your child will learn to work with other children as they discover their strengths and learn how to use them to the best of their ability. Finally after all their hard work, they will perform for a group of audience members.

For ages 8 to 10

Beauty and the Beast

A script by David Barrett

In this unique musical play based on the timeless classic, your child will enjoy getting to know Beauty and the hideous Beast who is actually a handsome prince trapped in a fairy spell!

In this theatrical production, your child will learn the ins and outs of using specific Drama tools to make theatre in order to help him gain confidence and cultivate good communication skills. He will also learn how to develop a character through facial expressions and movement as well as build stage presence with proper use of the voice in speaking and singing. Finally, with hard work and perseverance behind them, catch these thespians in a spectacular performance!

For ages 11 to 16

Rehearsal for Murder

During a rehearsal of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, a cast member is murdered. With the help of the audience’s (that means you) detective work through simple clues and interrogation, everyone has to solve the mystery of the “whodunnit”!

In this performative experience, older children will be provided with many opportunities to think creatively, work imaginatively and collaborate together using a mix of text and movement. Through the application of newly-learnt Drama techniques, these young actors will build determination and learn the many ways of engaging an audience as they work hard preparing and shaping the piece to ultimately showcase it in a live production on the final day.
