A baby is about to be born. Is it a boy or a girl? It is not important. The baby grows up and is looked after by the moon, the stars, and the clouds.

The baby is like a little island, surrounded by the sea, and by many other islands. It is part of the archipelago and on the islands, there are bridges, mountains, birds, trees, and whales which swim in the sea. A story told poetically through dance, song, movement, and imagery for early years.

Archipelago was conceived for two children’s festivals – ACT3iFestival (Singapore) and Visioni (Bologna, Italy) and made specifically to introduce quality theatre for very early years. A creative collaboration with Roberto Frabetti of Italy, it played in December 2018 in Teatro Ragazzi, Bologna to five full houses. Like a baby, the show was born and nurtured to give very young children a good first experience of quality theatre.
