The Nutcracker

It is Christmas Eve. A little girl is waiting eagerly to open her presents. When she opens her last present, it is the most beautiful of all surprises – a handsome wooden nutcracker. As she falls asleep holding him in her arms, the magic begins and Clara is whisked into a colourful and multi-sensorial world of snowflakes, colourful sweets, songs and dancing toys. The Nutcracker story unfolds as an interactive and performative style workshop with many moments of engagement through watching and participation. Never a dull moment!

The Land of Sweets
For ages 3 to 4
A 5-day workshop
The Nutcracker has defeated the Mouse King with the help of the children and the toys and prepares to return to the Land of Sweets.
Meanwhile, the Sugar Plum Fairies are waiting patiently for the return of the Nutcracker and a joyous reunion. However, unknown to all of them, the Mouse King is in close pursuit. What will ensue when the Mouse King arrives in the Land of Sweets? A dramatic stage play with much action and great drama to keep both children and audience enthralled!

A Nutcracker Tale

The great battle between the mice and the toys begins when the clock strikes twelve! In this workshop focusing on role playing, movement and ensemble work, join the Stahlbaum children as their home comes to life on the night before Christmas when giant mice begin to attack them. However, the hero always saves the day when the little wooden nutcracker lying at the corner jumps up and bravely leads an army of toys to defeat them. But the mice are just too powerful and soon, they corner the nutcracker winning the battle. Or do they? Find out what happens in this magical retelling played with pleasure, pride and confidence!

This Christmas, we are producing a collection of nutty and good-old crazy FUN stories inspired by Christmas carols!
For the 8 to 10 year-olds, we have two enjoyable tales – Deck the Halls with Poison Ivy and Ms Meyermyer’s Shining Moment. For teens, we will retell The Tree Monologues and Leaping Kings. These fun, joyful and energetic plays will provide great opportunities for ensemble style shows guaranteed to entertain.
