This time around, we have put together interesting and varied Drama Workshops that will brighten and inspire your children to play, act, speak, imagine and most of all, have fun! After all, it’s the holidays!

For 7 months to 17 months with Parent

It’s All About Colors

Inspired by Mouse Paint

What do three adorable albino mice do when they come across red, yellow and blue paint? Well, they paint themselves silly, of course! Not forgetting mixing and matching and creating new colours as well.

This workshop will open you and your child’s eyes to the wonderful world of colours as the both of you hop, prance, dive and jump into colours, painting, mixing, discovering and dramatising together with us.

Who’s Playing Music?

Inspired by I am the Music Man
by Debra Potter

Just who is this music man playing with music? Join in, sing along and make merry music together with the musicians to find the answer to this mysterious maestro in this lovely adaptation of the classic nursery song!

In this parent and child Drama Workshop, you and your 2-year-old will open your minds to the wonders of imagination as you create a world of marching bands. Together with the Drama Teacher, the both of you will enjoy role-playing the different musicians with their unique instruments as you march to the beat and sing with gusto.

For ages 3 to 4

The Elves and The Shoemaker

Inspired by The Elves and The Shoemaker
by The Brothers Grimm

A cobbler and his wife are so poor that they only have enough leather to make a pair of shoes. Tired, they go to bed early planning to sew them the next day. However, in the middle of the night, two little elves appear and help the couple out by making the most beautiful pair of shoes no one has ever seen before!

This week-long workshop will build confidence in your child, spark an imaginative mind and improve speaking skills. The learning of drama skills using both voice and body will also encourage your child to create and work with others. In the end, watch them perform this classic tale of kindness and honesty in an intimate setting of family and friends.

For ages 5 to 7

The Nutcracker

Inspired by The Nutcracker and the Mouse King
by E.T.A. Hoffman

In this beautiful tale, come meet a girl who receives a very precious gift for Christmas – a nutcracker! After he is accidentally broken, the girl promises to repair him the next day. However, a huge battle begins during the night between the mice and the dolls. Will the nutcracker defeat the mouse king and save the day?

In this week-long workshop for school-going children from 5 to 7 years of age, our Drama teachers will impart their knowledge of basic dramatic skills to inspire creativity and imagination through movement, voice and characterisation. Finally, on the last day, the children will put up a confidence-boosting performance in front of a live audience.

For ages 8 to Teens

Christmas Past, Present and Future – A Pantomime

Inspired by A Christmas Carol
by Charles Dickens

In this week-long workshop, it will be a creative journey of self-discovery as we tell a story in our very special PANTOMIME adaptation for older children. Your young person will get a fantastic opportunity to learn the art of Pantomime and build confidence and a knack for creating. At the end, witness their hard work and preparation in their finale performance!

A timeless and classic Yuletide tale, join famous old miser Ebenezer Scrooge, a selfish, lonely and stingy man who absolutely hates Christmas! One night, he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future who warn him of never-ending suffering if he doesn’t change for the better. Will he listen to them?
