Holiday Workshop June 2022

Barely 6 inches in height, the Lilliputians are a merry lot living on the beautiful island of Lilliput. However, their lives are changed dramatically one afternoon when a giant washes up on their shore. As the Lilliputians are in the midst of a great battle with their rivals from neighbouring island Blefuscu, they decide to hold the giant captive forcing him to fight for them. Will they succeed?

This June, sign up your child for FUN and EXCITING Drama Workshops and join the Lilliputians on their never-ending escapades in the land of Lilliput! Our unique programmes are created to complement the learning stages of every child offering them a chance to work together in making a performance and presenting it in front of an audience. Your child will also develop valuable life skills such as self-confidence, creativity, and communication. Likewise, our workshops will strengthen growth in thinking creatively and critically as well as build on the imagination and curiosity to play, wonder and discover.

Drama Workshop
Parent and Child

In this one-off Drama Workshop, join our teacher-in-role as you go on an amazing adventure to the land of the Lilliputians. Bond with your little one as you sing, dance, play, and set sail on a giant ship in this delightful narrative. Our workshops for the very young are curated to be nurturing and multi-sensorial through a combination of role playing, storytelling, creative play, songs, music and movement.

Week-long Workshop

For the 3 to 4 year-olds, the focus of the workshop is on structured play in an engaging and interactive way. Set to a fun narrative with music, songs and plenty of movement, your child will build the imagination and develop social and emotional skills, all whilst having fun on the island of Lilliput! Join the little ones on the last session in our ACT 3 Theatre and be amazed with their dramatic capabilities to present the story just for you.

For ages 5 to 7
Week-long Workshop

In this week-long workshop, it’s all about exploring and discovering! From the first session, your child will build an awareness of physicality and learn how to create expression in both the body and the voice through singing, dancing and performing. Sharing ideas, your child will work in a team, taking turns as they play their characters with believability. At the end of the week, come support the children as they display their confidence and love for Drama with an intimate performance in our theatre.

For ages 8 to 10
Week-long Musical Workshop

With a strong focus on building creativity, the imagination and confidence in basic musical theatre skills – song, dance and movement – your child will enjoy every minute of this week-long workshop in making a musical. Collaborating with other children, your child will learn to take risks, build flexibility and social skills as they develop their characters through the body and voice. The workshop will culminate with a lovely and energetic performance in our very own theatre, so support the children as they showcase their skills in singing, dancing and acting!
