iFest2018 Leaf

By February 8, 2018May 9th, 2018ACT3 iFestival for Children

“Leaf is a perfect introduction to theatre for the very young. It is immersive and playful that little ones will surely be filled with curiosity as they experience the different colours, textures and sounds of leaves as they go through one life cycle.”

Tam Tam Theatre

For 0 to 3 years
May 29 to June 3, 2018
Asian Civilisations Museum, Demonstration Room
Running Time: 35 minutes

A leaf is born…
It grows and glows in the sunshine and the rain
Then the wind blows and it becomes colder
The leaf changes colour
In the snow, the leaf falls…
But when spring comes, a new leaf grows…

Join us as we tell the life story of a very special leaf in this warm, intimate and playful new piece for under 3s inspired by nature and the seasons. Framed within an evocative soundscape, this is the perfect introduction to theatre for the very young.

At the end of the performance, children are invited onto the stage to play among the leaves and explore a landscape created by the changing seasons.

Who is Tam Tam Theatre?

Tam Tam Theatre was established in 1993 by Marleen Vermeulen, who is originally from Belgium.

The company is known for work with a multi-cultural focus drawing upon original stories from across the world using puppetry and simple storytelling.

Recently, Tam Tam started to focus upon creating non-verbal work for very young children including babies. Circles in the Sand is the first in a series of plays Marleen has developed.
