Learn with Drama! 2018
for Pre-Schools and Kindergartens
Fire up the imagination with three very highly engaging Drama Programmes for both Teachers and Preschoolers!
At ACT 3 Drama Academy, we strive to deliver meaningful programmes that marry both Art and education. We believe that young children should be given opportunities to grow their educational, personal, social and creative development.
“It is said that imagination is like an open window for children to experience the outside world for themselves. It should be encouraged by both parents and educators through dramatic play. After all, children learn not only from what they are, but also from what they want to be.”

Hungry Hungry
Inspired by
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
By Eric Carle
A hungry baby caterpillar hatches from an egg and slowly chomps his way through a variety of food on each day of the week. After getting a terrible stomachache, he learns his lesson and finally pupates and emerges as a beautiful butterfly.
Our specially curated 90-minute workshop, inspired by this beautiful story, will offer many opportunities for your students to work together and express themselves creatively and imaginatively. It will begin with fun and educational activities that will prepare and set your students for Drama.

Let Me Tell the Story!
Inspired by Interrupting Chicken
By David Ezra Stein
A little red chicken promises to be good during storytelling time but fails miserably. Interrupting her father during crucial moments of fairy tales such as Hansel and Gretel and Little Red Riding Hood, the both of them finally fall asleep in each other’s arms.
In this very unique and interactive workshop for preschoolers, your students will enjoy role playing both parent and child discovering the many ways of telling a story and interrupting it. Beginning with warm-up exercises to gear your students up for 90 minutes of Drama, this workshop will introduce the concept of playing a role through characterisation, using the body for creative movement and developing the voice for language.

Drama Programmes at Your School
If you are thinking of paving the way and bringing Drama into your centre, our programmes might just be the ones for you! Specifically created and prepared for young children, our programmes will connect them to the performing arts and develop their learning through creativity, imagination and dramatic play.
Our Drama programmes will give your students the avenue to express themselves through their bodies, their minds and their voices. We can also produce and cater to a year-end finale performance for parents and friends.
With a mix of highly interactive activities set to music, songs and stories, your preschoolers will learn to develop confidence and build valuable concentration, listening and communication skills.

Teacher’s Drama Workshops
Looking to gear your teachers with the knowledge and know-how of using Drama in a classroom? Our workshops might just be what you need. Uniquely created just for teachers and educators of young children, our one-off workshops will equip you with basic tools that you can adopt into your own curriculum and storytelling sessions.
Using a hands-on approach, our Drama Teachers will share with you alternative ways to bring story books to life and demonstrate examples of how to use an interactive and visual approach in order to do that.
Also, try your hand at fun drama activities as you learn about Tableaux, Improvisation and Role Play, tools of the trade that can be easily incorporated into any lesson and push your students to create, explore and develop ideas using their bodies.
