We have week-long workshops for the 3-to-7-year-olds that will close with an intimate presentation for family and friends in our ACT 3 Theatre. These workshops will build confidence as well as provide a creative outlet in a nurturing and supportive environment. We also have one-off parent and child performative workshops for little ones from 18 to 36 months that will offer a unique taste into dramatic play where the senses will be explored thoroughly through sound, sight, and touch.

Off We Go

Inspired by Where is the Rocket? by Harriet Ziefert

5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and OFF WE GO on a rocket crusade to the beautiful and ethereal space. Travel up, down, over, under, and maybe even through the solar system! Spin with the sun, sing with the stars,and dance with the moon, but be careful, don’t get sucked into the void of the black hole.

In this spellbinding one-off workshop, it’s all about imaginative and sensorial play. Join our Drama teacher in character as she inculcates action and play in the development of your child’s cognitive, physical and emotional skills. Take this time to bond and have amazing fun with your child as you guide him on the narrative journey discovering exciting adventures in ROCKETS.

To the Moon and Back

It’s spring-cleaning time when a group of children discover old rockets in their cupboards! Just what do you do with old rockets? Why, fly them, of course, right into space. But the soaring adventure comes to a standstill when their rockets run out of rocket fuel. Stranded on the moon, the children fear they may never get home. Until they meet a friendly Martian…

In this week-long workshop, your child will learn the essentials of communication to develop strong, healthy, and confident choral voices. Working and collaborating as an ensemble, the children will listen and strike a balance as they share responsibility in building the imagination together. Through a range of drama activities and exercises, your child will enjoy role-playing and make-believe, making the story come to life with both the body and voice.

It’s Rocket Science!

Inspired by Rocket Boy by Katie Jennings

It’s the school holidays and a group of children are bored silly with nothing to do. Wait a minute, what are those cardboard boxes doing in the corner of the room? Time for some good old-fashioned imagination and creativity when the children decide to build their own rockets. Soon, they are ready, zipping up into the blue sky straight into the blackness of space. But when they land on Mars, danger appears in the form of a tsunami of red sand and giant pod monsters! Will they make it back in one piece? 

During the week, our Drama teacher will support your child in fulfilling his potential, strengthening the body and mind physically, mentally, and emotionally. At the same time, your child will discover the skills needed to effectively communicate the story with different expressions and tones of voice. Learning best through play, the children will explore the characters and scenes with creativity, mental focus, and teamwork. Join them on the last day as they showcase their skills and demonstrate self-assurance and confidence in performing for an audience.
